Ufton Green has been a DIY livery yard for over 20 years, originally a dairy farm in the 1950's, diversification saw the introduction of horses and the facilities have gradually built up to the point that the main farm is entirely equestrian.
Following the pandemic we are predominately a DIY livery yard, and pride ourselves in offering facilities normally only found in a full livery yard, most notably our indoor school. We welcome friendly liveries and well behaved horses who want to enjoy their hobby in a low-key setting.
We have a number of different stable blocks meaning that we retain a peaceful yard with happy horses. We offer predominately individual turnout livery although small group turnout is also available in some paddocks. We have indoor and outdoor schools, a grass riding paddock, a grass lunge pen and a short on site hack around our hay field. Excellent hacking on the nearby Englefield Estate is close by (permit required). We are close to Burghfield, with easy access to the M4 and local competition venues such as Wellington, Fairoak and the Croft.
At Ufton Green Livery we offer DIY services, but can also tailor packages to suit you. We offer freedom of choice on instructors and farriers and we are in several 'zone' days for local vets. We have regular feed deliveries from local suppliers and there is no restriction on bedding. We like you to have a stable but we don't enforce its use, you are welcome to turnout 24/7 365 days a year. Grass livery is sometimes available, particularly for people with two horses. We can also offer retirement livery packages on request.
